The Nvidia sound driver does not work for me, however, the VT8233 AC97 driver works beautifully. Your best bet is to open mandrake control center (file > run > mcc), go to hardware, and try different sound modules until (if) you find one that works. Otherwise, you may have better luck upgrading to 10.1. in the mcc

nvidia sound set up
The Pentium 3 is well known, the nvidia gpu is basically a geforce 3. The only thing really new in the xbox is the nvidia sound processor. The ps2 is the weakest link if you ask me. Shit'e gpu that doesn't even have hardware anti-aliasing, flickers a lot and seems to be permantly stuck in lowish resolutions.

OT Need Nvidia Sound Driver installation help, PLEASE!
I am sure I have made no mistake in the nVidia sound control panel (nothing is muted, all the volume sliders are up). Has anyone seen this behavour and knows how to fix it? Is there a way to uninstall only the audio drivers from the current nVidia driver set and install the older audio drivers from the Asus driver

need some help with dual soundcards
